OnPath Energy partners with Wilson Forest Products on 121 MW Scotland wind projects

OnPath Energy is progressing plans to invest in southern Scotland over the next five years through a partnership with Wilson Forest Products on three new onshore wind farms in South Lanarkshire. OnPath has entered into an option agreement covering the Bankend Rig II, Bankend Rig III and Hawkwood Wind Farm projects. The agreement gives the company the right, subject to certain project milestones and conditions, to acquire a majority stake in the three developments.

Ocean Winds has received full onshore planning consent for its Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm. Following a meeting of Aberdeenshire Council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, the local authority approved the cable infrastructure required to connect the 2 GW project to the national electricity transmission grid. Onshore construction is scheduled to begin in 2028.
Nordex secures 82 MW turbine orders from WNE in Germany

Nordex has received new orders from Westfälisch-Niedersächsische Energie for the supply and installation of 12 N175/6.X wind turbines in Germany. The turbines, each with a hub height of 179 metres, will be installed across three projects in the Höxter district of North Rhine-Westphalia. The combined capacity of the orders is 82 MW.
NextEra Energy and Dominion Energy announce all-stock merger agreement

NextEra Energy and Dominion Energy have entered into a definitive agreement to combine in an all-stock transaction. The merged company will be more than 80% regulated and is expected to serve around 10 million utility customer accounts across Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. It will also own 110 GW of generation across a mix of energy sources.
Taihan acquires submarine cable installation vessel Skandi Connector

Taihan has announced the acquisition of the 10,000-ton class submarine cable installation vessel *Skandi Connector*, strengthening its offshore installation capabilities. The vessel can load up to 7,000 tonnes of submarine cable in a single operation and is suitable for both intra-array and export cable installation for offshore wind projects. It will also support the development of long-distance interconnection systems and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission networks.
