Vestas wins orders for wind projects in Lithuania, Finland, Japan and Brazil

Vestas has received an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for a 74 MW wind project in Lithuania. Aside from manufacturing, delivering, and installing the wind turbines, Vestas will also be the balance-of- plant (BoP) contractor, meaning it will deliver all civil and electrical works.

Cowi and Statkraft announce agreement for NISA offshore wind farm

Cowi has been selected by Statkraft as owner’s engineer for the North Irish Sea Array (NISA) offshore wind farm. Cowi will support Statkraft in preparing an auction application for the first offshore competition under the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (ORESS-1) in Ireland.

OX2 adds 5000MW offshore wind project to its development portfolio

OX2, together with Ålandsbanken Fondbolag, is developing offshore wind power in two projects, one to the south and one to the north of Åland. The Government of Åland recently issued a permission to carry out investigations for the projects, OX2 is therefore including its share of the projects, estimated at about 5,000 MW, in its project development portfolio.

Enlight energises wind farm in Sweden

Enlight Renewable Energy has reported that the 372 MW Björnberget wind farm has achieved all necessary regulatory requirements to start the gradual process of commercial operation. The project comprises 60 wind turbines from Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, with each turbine comprising 6.2MW.
