Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA) has signed an asset swap agreement with Gulf Pacific Power (GPP). Under the terms of the agreement, EGPNA will raise its indirect equity stake to 51% in selected corporate vehicles that own wind farms. In exchange, EGPNA will transfer its interests in other wind farm vehicles, including one full ownership stake and several indirect minority holdings, along with a cash payment.

European Energy has finalised the sale of an 83.5 MW operational wind portfolio in north-west Poland to Enea Nowa Energia. The transaction includes full ownership of EE Pommern, which indirectly holds five operational wind farms—Grzmiąca, Białogard I, Kołobrzeg, Drawsko II, and Siemyśl—totalling 44.7 MW. It also includes a 100% stake in EE Liskowo, owner of the 38.8 MW Liskowo wind farm.

Nordex has secured two contracts in France for the supply and installation of wind turbines with a combined capacity of 64.7 MW. The orders cover two separate wind farms and include six N163/5.X turbines, six N131/3.X units, and one N149/5.X turbine.

A new international research initiative, EuroWindWakes, has begun with the aim of improving the accuracy of modelling wake effects in large offshore wind farm clusters in the North Sea. The project brings together partners from Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark to enhance predictions of wind energy yield and support cross-border maritime spatial planning.

Grid operator TenneT has begun preparatory work to bring offshore wind energy from sea to land at the Maasvlakte. From 26 May, contractor NRG (a consortium of Denys, Alsema and Van Vulpen) will carry out six horizontal directional drillings under the dunes, with three more planned after the summer.

The Danish Energy Appeals Board has rejected appeals against construction permits for the Jammerland Bugt and Lillebælt Syd offshore wind farms, developed jointly by TotalEnergies, European Energy and Sonfor. The ruling clears the way for both projects to proceed as planned.
