Van Oord deploys VibroJet method for monopile installation at Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm

Van Oord has installed three monopile foundations using GBM Works’ jetting solution in combination with Cape Holland’s vibro lifting tool at the Ecowende Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm. The method, designed to reduce underwater noise and limit impact on marine life, was deployed using Van Oord’s installation vessel Boreas.

Hexicon has completed the divestment of the TwinHub project in Cornwall, United Kingdom, through a sales and purchase agreement with a global maritime and offshore engineering provider. Under the agreement, Hexicon has transferred its full 100% stake in the project company, Wave Hub, including all associated assets and liabilities, for a total consideration of GBP 1.

Nordex has received an order in Spain for an initial capacity of 80 MW. The contract covers the supply of 13 N175/6.X turbines for an onshore wind project. The agreement includes a service contract for a period of 20 years. It also contains an option to expand the project by a further 40 MW, which would bring total installed capacity to 120 MW.

Grieg Maritime Group has signed a contract with GT Wings to install at least two AirWing20 wind propulsion units on its fleet. The agreement also builds on a recent strategic investment from Grieg Kapital, strengthening alignment between the two organisations.

RWE has installed an offshore wind turbine featuring a reduced carbon steel tower and recyclable rotor blades at the 1.1 GW Thor offshore wind farm off the west coast of Denmark. The Siemens Gamesa GreenerTower uses steel plates that generate at least 63 per cent lower CO₂ emissions compared with conventional steel. The production process reduces emissions through the use of renewable-powered furnaces and recycled scrap steel.
