Aker Solutions plans workforce reductions as activity levels ease

Aker Solutions expects activity levels to decline in 2026 compared with 2025 following several years of high workload. In response, the company plans to reduce capacity and headcount in parts of the business. The measures are expected to affect just over 500 of the company’s 12,000 permanent full-time positions.

Holcim and BW Ideol form partnership for floating wind foundation fabrication

Holcim has taken a minority equity stake in BW Ideol and entered into a strategic partnership focused on the supply of materials for floating wind foundations. Under the agreement, Holcim will supply materials to two fabrication lines for floating foundations being developed by BW Ideol in southern France and north-east Scotland.

Sunrise Wind challenges BOEM lease suspension order in USA court

Sunrise Wind, a subsidiary of Ørsted, plans to file a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia challenging a lease suspension order issued on 22 December 2025 by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, part of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The filing will be followed by a motion for a preliminary injunction seeking to halt the effects of the order while the case proceeds.
Nordex secures 414 MW of wind turbine orders in France, Belgium and Portugal
