Erste Group Bank has signed a guarantee framework agreement with the European Investment Bank to support increased investment in wind energy projects across the European Union. Under the agreement, a 200 million euro framework is put in place as part of an 8 billion euro European Union-wide guarantee programme aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of European wind turbine manufacturers.

Nexans has been selected by ScottishPower Renewables as a supplier for the East Anglia Three offshore wind project, part of the wider East Anglia Hub. The project comprises an offshore wind farm located around 69 kilometres off the Suffolk coast, with an onshore cable route transmitting electricity to a converter station in Bramford.

Vestas has secured an order from Tilt Renewables for the 108 MW Waddi Wind Farm in Western Australia. The project covers the supply and installation of 18 V162-6.0 MW EnVentus wind turbines with a hub height of 125 metres.

A federal court in Maryland has denied a request by US Wind to block a potential review of its approved offshore wind project off the coast of Maryland. In a memorandum opinion dated 15 December 2025, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland ruled that US Wind had not met the legal threshold for a preliminary injunction. The case was brought by a group of local authorities, businesses and community organisations challenging the Department of the Interior’s approval of the project’s Construction and Operations Plan.
