Research project to increase converter reliability launched

Palfinger PF8000 fixed boom cranePalfinger has been commissioned to deliver 33 fixed boom cranes for the the Akita and Noshiro offshore wind farms in Japan. Palfinger signed a crane supplier agreement with the wind farm construction company Kajima Corporation / Taiko Trading.

innogy places order with the Nordex Group for project in Germany

innogy has commissioned the Nordex Group to equip the Jüchen A44n wind farm with six N149/4.0-4.5 turbines, all with hub heights of 164 metres. The Jüchen A44n wind farm will be built next to the A44 motorway on around 90 hectares of recultivated land formerly used by the Garzweiler open cast lignite mining site, located to the south of the town of Jüchen in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany.

Seven Irish offshore wind projects fast-tracked by government

The Irish government has fast-tracked the development of seven offshore wind farm projects. The projects, which are being planned by five different firms, have been designated as Relevant Projects, which will ultimately allow them to apply under upcoming marine planning rules.
