PD Ports has announced plans to develop the Teesport Offshore Gateway into a hub for offshore wind manufacturing and installation. The proposed facility will include a deep-water quay of up to one kilometre in length, providing unrestricted access to the North Sea. Between 1 January and 31 March 2025, Goldwind’s external wind turbine sales totalled 2,587.65MW, marking an 80.16% increase year-on-year. Turbines rated below 4MW accounted for 3.00MW, or 0.12% of total volume. Units in the 4MW to 6MW range contributed 760.95MW, making up 29.41%, while turbines rated at 6MW and above represented the largest share at 1,823.70MW, or 70.47% of sales.
