Siemens Energy has announced plans to transition to a new independent brand name, Omterra, following its spin-off from Siemens in 2020. The rebranding is linked to the company’s time-limited licence agreement for the use of the Siemens Energy brand. The current entities Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be brought together under the Omterra name and brand umbrella, with the transition expected to begin later this year and be implemented gradually.

Voodin Blade Technology has received funding from the European Innovation Fund to develop a commercial factory for wooden wind turbine blades in Navarre, Spain.
