Hitachi Energy will strengthen its manufacturing footprint in China to meet growing demand for transformers.
The company will invest $300 million in expanding its power transformer and component manufacturing capacity in Hefei, Anhui Province, in eastern China. The investment forms part of Hitachi Energy’s $9 billion global investment plan covering manufacturing capacity, engineering, research and development, and partnerships.
