Hitachi Energy has announced an investment of over 30 million euros in the expansion and modernisation of its power transformer manufacturing facility in Bad Honnef, Germany.Expected to be completed by 2026, the project will create up to 100 new jobs in the region. Operational since 1906, the facility in Bad Honnef is one of Hitachi Energy’s primary manufacturing locations in Europe. The factory manufactures large power transformers, which are crucial components of the electrical grid used to adjust voltage levels for efficient transmission and distribution.
