Inspire Environmental, a Venterra Group company, has appointed Dr Ewan Edwards as director of ecosystem ecology. Edwards has nearly two decades of experience in marine ecology, environmental science and offshore energy. H
is career includes seal research on South Georgia with the British Antarctic Survey, seabird foraging ecology research at the University of Aberdeen, work advising government regulators on marine mammal science, and environmental consultancy for offshore energy developments.
His expertise covers marine mammals, fish ecology, ornithology, marine acoustics and environmental assessment. He has worked on offshore wind, subsea cable and interconnector, and marine renewable energy projects, as well as leading offshore surveys and multidisciplinary field programmes.
