Trans Global Projects (TGP) has opened an office in Bilbao, Spain, to provide local support for project logistics, heavy lift and out-of-gauge transportation. The office is led by Sergio Rivas, Managing Director – Spain, and has a seven-person team with experience in project cargo, industrial logistics, transport engineering and project delivery.

X1 Wind, a floating wind technology developer, has closed its fourth strategic funding round. The round was led by Grow VP, which will acquire around 8% of the company's share capital, while Avançsa will acquire a similar stake. The round also included the conversion of instruments previously provided by existing shareholders, including Technip Energies, EIC Fund and CDTI Innvierte.

The German Offshore Wind Energy Association (BWO) has elected Benedikt Scheel as its new chairman. Korbinian Ott of Steelwind Nordenham and Till Schwarzlose of RWE Offshore have been elected as deputy chairmen, while Lena Büsing of Merkur Offshore has been appointed treasurer. The board members will serve a two-year term.

Heerema Marine Contractors is establishing an engineering hub in Porto, Portugal, through its newly formed Heerema Portugal Lda. The Porto hub will become part of Heerema’s global engineering network, working with its headquarters in Leiden, the Netherlands, and offices in London, Houston, Singapore and Villahermosa. It will also support the company’s fleet of heavy-lift crane vessels involved in offshore projects.
