Wooden shipwreck discovered during DolWin4 offshore cable installation

A wooden shipwreck believed to be around 300 years old has been discovered on the beach at Norderney during offshore cable installation work for the DolWin4 offshore grid connection project. The site is currently being investigated by an archaeological team from the Ostfriesische Landschaft, after which the ship's remains will be recovered.

Hungarian wind power grid capacity tender opens for consultation

Hungary's energy regulator has published a draft public tender for the allocation of available capacity on the medium- and high-voltage electricity network, opening the proposal for industry consultation. The tender, issued by Magyar Energetikai és Közmű-szabályozási Hivatal (MEKH), is based on Hungary's Electricity Act and Decree 11/2025, following a request from the country's energy minister. The draft specifies that wind power must be the primary generation technology at all network nodes included in the tender. Battery energy storage may be included only as a secondary energy source.
