Vestas has secured a 274 MW order from EDF power solutions North America for the Madawaska wind project in Québec, Canada. The order includes 25 V162-6.0 MW turbines and 20 V162-6.2 MW turbines, along with a 10-year service agreement.
Turbine delivery is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of 2027. Québec-based manufacturer Marmen will supply the towers as part of the project. This contract follows a separate 124 MW EnVentus order from EDF power solutions for the Haute-Chaudière wind project, also located in Québec.
