Triton Anchor, a subsea technology company with operations in Scotland, Norway, and the USA, has secured two patents in the USA for its offshore anchor and subsea deployment tool. A notice of allowance has also been issued for the anchor patent in Japan.
IMCA publishes three updated dynamic positioning guidance documents

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has released three revised dynamic positioning (DP) guidance documents. The first, Recommended Practice for the Operation of Class 1 DP Vessels (IMCA M268), is the industry’s first comprehensive guideline for the safe and efficient operation of DP1 vessels. These vessels are increasingly used in the offshore wind sector.
Schaeffler adds GPS tracking to smart box system for large wind turbine bearings

Schaeffler is enhancing digital traceability in the logistics of large-size bearings by expanding its existing smart box system with GPS-based positioning technology. The new function is being trialled in a proof-of-concept focusing on main bearing applications in the wind power sector. Ocean Winds reserves space at Gdańsk port for BC-Wind project

Ocean Winds has signed a reservation agreement with the PGE and Ørsted joint venture Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica-2 to use the T5 terminal at the Port of Gdańsk for the BC-Wind offshore wind project. The terminal will be made available after installation work for Baltica 2, scheduled for 2027.

Osbit opens offshore wind assembly facility at Port of Blyth

The offshore wind engineering company developed the site with support from the Business Growth Fund, funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund by the Northeast Combined Authority, Gateshead Council, and Sunderland Council.
