The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Intesa Sanpaolo have agreed on a new initiative with the potential to unlock investment of up to €8 billion for the European wind industry. It forms part of the EIB’s €5 billion Wind Power Package.
Correll secures contract with Jan De Nul

Spie Global Services Energy has announced that its wind power high voltage entity, Correll, has been awarded a contract by Jan De Nul. The project involves completing the 66kV inter-array cable (IAC) termination and testing on 72 wind turbine generators for RWE’s Thor Offshore Wind Farm. These works are due to commence in July 2025, with the mock-up scheduled for November 2024.
North Star secures first contract for commissioning service operation vessel

North Star has secured its first contract for a commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), a second award with EnBW. This award for the newbuild Grampian Kestrel CSOV (of VARD 4 22 design), will precede the decade-long minimum charter contract the firm signed in February to provide a service operation vessel (SOV) (of VARD 407 design) for the German energy utility firm’s He Dreiht wind farm in the North Sea.Renexia and Mingyang sign FEED contract for Med Wind floating wind farm

Sany Renewable Energy installs prototype of 15 MW onshore wind turbine

Sany Renewable Energy has installed its self-developed onshore 15 MW wind turbine, the SI-270150, in Tongyu, Jilin Province, China. This 15 MW onshore wind turbine is developed based on the 12.X-16.X MW platform.
