RWE secures permits for electrolyser supporting OranjeWind offshore wind farm in the Netherlands

RWE has secured the necessary construction and environmental permits to build an electrolyser near the Magnum Power Station in Eemshaven, in the north of the Netherlands. If built, the electrolyser will support the onshore energy system integration plans associated with the 795MW OranjeWind offshore wind project in the Dutch North Sea, which RWE is developing in partnership with TotalEnergies.

Ørsted and Van Oord install scalable oyster structures in the North Sea

Ørsted and Van Oord’s initiative, Ocean Health, have installed Droppable Oyster Structures (DOS) in the Borssele 1&2 offshore wind farm. These structures are easily portable reef systems with adult oysters attached. The oysters reproduce by producing larvae, which will colonise and eventually form oyster reefs within the wind farm.
