NeXtWind secures funding to repower German wind farms

European grid operators launch innovation alliance

Seven European transmission system operators (TSOs) have formed the TSO Innovation Alliance to support innovation and coordinate efforts around the energy transition. The founding members are Terna (Italy), RTE (France), Swissgrid (Switzerland), Elia Group (Belgium and Germany), TenneT (Netherlands), Red Eléctrica (Spain), and Amprion (Germany).
ABO Energy sells Greek operations to Helleniq Energy

Lankhorst supplies heavy lift slings for Allseas jacket installation

Lankhorst Ropes has provided high-capacity slings to Allseas’ vessel Pioneering Spirit for transporting and lowering a 7,300-tonne jacket for a converter platform in the German offshore BorWin 5 project. The Lankhorst Gama 98 slings held the jacket securely above the vessel’s stern during the two-day transit to the installation site.
We4Ce and CNC Onsite complete first joint blade repair project in South Asia

We4Ce and CNC Onsite have finished their first collaborative project to transfer blade repair expertise to a wind farm in South Asia. In May, the companies trained the site’s technicians to independently repair loose blade root bushings on 26 turbines.

Basque Country to develop first wind farm in two decades with Iberdrola and Siemens Gamesa
