GE's Haliade-X receives typhoon certification from DNV

DNV has given GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade-X its Typhoon certification (Class T certification). The 12 MW and 13 MW versions of the Haliade-X turbines have been certified to operate safely under extreme wind conditions.

 

Earlier, the Haliade-X already received its Full Type Certification from DNV for its 12 MW and 13 MW power ratings and now adds typhoon-certification to it. It will need a separate certification for the 14MW turbine.
