The UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has announced the results of Allocation Round 7a (AR7a) of the Contracts for Difference scheme, awarding contracts to 6,232 MW of renewable energy capacity across Great Britain. Scottish Renewables has announced the appointment of three new Directors to its Board. Selected by the organisation’s more than 380 member organisations, each Director will serve an initial term of three years. Susie Lind, Partner for Energy and Infrastructure at CMS UK, has been re-elected to the Board. She brings more than 20 years of experience across the energy and legal sectors and recently joined CMS UK as a Partner, having previously served as UK Managing Director of the Nadara BlueFloat Energy partnership.

New data released by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) shows that wind and solar energy accounted for almost all new generating capacity added in the USA in November 2025, according to an analysis by the Sun Day Campaign. Combined wind and solar additions represented 93% of total new capacity during the month, making November the second strongest month of the year for renewable energy growth.
