Denmark has completed an offshore wind auction covering two sites with a combined capacity of 1.8 GW. The Danish Energy Agency offered the 1 GW Nordsøen Midt site and the 800 MW Hesselø site. The auction introduced two-sided Contracts for Difference (CfDs), with both sites attracting multiple bids. Nordsøen Midt received two bids, while Hesselø attracted five.

Vattenfall was awarded both projects, submitting bids of €67.42/MWh for Nordsøen Midt and €72.50/MWh for Hesselø. The projects will receive capability-based CfDs with a duration of 20 years.
