Dominion Energy challenges BOEM stop-work order for Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project in USA

Dominion Energy Virginia, together with project partner OSW Project, has filed a federal lawsuit challenging a stop-work order that halted construction of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project. The complaint was submitted on 23 December 2025 to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and targets an order issued by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on 22 December 2025.
European Energy divests wind park in Greece to Sampension

European Energy has agreed to divest a 50 per cent stake in the Tsoukes Sarres onshore wind park in Greece to Danish pension fund Sampension. The Tsoukes Sarres project has an installed capacity of 27 MW and comprises six onshore wind turbines.

Wind leads renewable electricity growth in USA as solar and batteries drive new capacity

Wind energy remained the largest renewable source of electricity in the USA during the first ten months of 2025, according to a review by the Sun Day Campaign based on data from the Energy Information Administration. Wind turbines generated 9.9% of total U.S. electricity output over the period, marking a 1.1% increase compared with the same months in 2024 and producing 84% more electricity than hydropower.
Seatrium and Maersk resolve dispute over wind turbine installation vessel

Seatrium has reached an agreement with Phoenix II, an affiliate of Maersk Offshore Wind, to resolve a dispute related to the construction of a wind turbine installation vessel. The agreement follows earlier termination notices and arbitration proceedings initiated by both parties in connection with the vessel construction contract. Under the revised arrangement, Seatrium Energy International will deliver the vessel, with Phoenix II taking delivery by 28 February 2026.
