C-Job and Glomar unveil multi-purpose offshore support vessel

C-Job Naval Architects and offshore operator Glomar have unveiled the design of a multi-purpose Offshore Support Vessel (OSV). At nearly 80 metres long, the vessel is designed to carry out a range of offshore tasks, including subsea inspections, cable trenching and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations.

East Anglia Three completes offshore foundation installation

ScottishPower Renewables and Masdar have completed the installation of all 95 foundations for the 1.4GW East Anglia Three offshore wind farm off the Suffolk coast. The monopiles weigh between 1,200 and 1,800 tonnes, stand 67–84 metres tall and have a diameter of up to 10.6 metres. All 95 transition pieces have also been installed. Each is 20 metres high, 8 metres in diameter and weighs more than 400 tonnes.
Goldwind signs agreement for 82 MW wind and battery project in Türkiye

Blue Power Partners supports 532 MW floating wind project in South Korea

Blue Power Partners is supporting the development of the 532 MW Haewoori 2 floating offshore wind project off the coast of Ulsan, South Korea. Protective conduits installed at Maasvlakte for offshore wind connections

TenneT has completed directional drilling beneath the beach and part of the seabed at Maasvlakte in the Netherlands. Nine plastic protective conduits have been installed in the boreholes to provide a protected route for the electricity cables from offshore wind farms. TenneT will now connect the conduits for the IJmuiden Ver Gamma and Nederwiek 2 wind farms to conduits previously installed from land beneath the dunes.
Sumitomo acquires 33.3% stake in Gwynt Glas floating wind project

Ørsted proposes 2 GW Dadu II offshore wind farm in Taiwan

Ming Yang commissions 16 MW tension leg platform floating wind turbine

Ming Yang Smart Energy has commissioned the 16 MW tension leg platform floating wind turbine, CNOOC Anlan, which will supply electricity to the Lufeng offshore oilfield, 136 km off the coast of Guangdong, China, in water depths of 136 metres. The complete system stands more than 307 metres tall. The MySE 16-260 turbine has a hub height of 155 metres and a rotor diameter of 260 metres, with a swept area of 53,000 m².
