Norway to award Utsira Nord floating wind areas to Equinor, Vårgrønn and Harald Hårfagre

The Ministry of Energy in Norway has evaluated the two applications for project areas for floating offshore wind in Utsira Nord and confirmed that each applicant will receive an individual area. Both applications met the qualification requirements and provided satisfactory responses to the qualitative criteria. As a result, each group will be awarded one project area.
Iberdrola starts assembling wind turbines for the Tâmega wind project in Portugal

Iberdrola has begun assembling the turbines for what will be Portugal’s largest wind project. Formed by the Tâmega Norte and Tâmega Sur sites, the development is part of an agreement with the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund managed by Norges Bank Investment Management and will operate under a long-term power purchase agreement.
Nantucket to formalise new protocols with Vineyard Wind

GE Vernova to supply turbines for PPC Renewables wind project in Romania

Vestas announces three turbine orders totalling 191 MW in Europe

Vestas has announced three new turbine orders in Europe with a combined capacity of 191 MW. In Germany, Uhl Windkraft has ordered eleven V172-7.2 MW turbines for the Schnabelwaid project, providing 79 MW of capacity. Delivery is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with commissioning expected from the third quarter of the same year. The project includes a 25-year service agreement.
GE Vernova and Seatrium to deliver BalWin5 HVDC link for German North Sea wind

GE Vernova and Seatrium have been selected by TenneT to deliver part of the BalWin5 offshore high-voltage direct current grid connection, which will transmit 2.2 GW of wind power from the German North Sea to the onshore network.
