Foundation installation begins for East Anglia Three offshore wind farm

Offshore construction has commenced on ScottishPower’s East Anglia Three offshore wind farm with the successful installation of the first monopile foundation. The structure was installed using the Seaway Ventus jack-up vessel and marks the start of foundation work for the 1.4GW project.
GE Vernova reports mixed performance in wind business

Onshore deliveries increased, supported by improved pricing, while offshore operations continued to contract. The wind segment remained loss-making but showed signs of operational improvement compared to the previous year.
Port of Roenne supports offshore wind growth with expanded capacity

Port of Roenne continued to develop its role as a key logistics hub for offshore wind in 2024, with infrastructure upgrades allowing for increased project handling capacity. Phase three of the port expansion, carried out by MT Højgaard, was completed during the year and is expected to be finalised by the end of 2025. The expanded area enables the port to support two simultaneous offshore wind projects, strengthening its position in the Baltic Sea region.
Nordex reports increased turbine orders and service growth in Q1 2025

The Nordex reported a stable financial performance for the first quarter of 2025. Turbine assembly reached 1,210 MW during the quarter, a 3 percent increase from 1,171 MW in Q1 2024. Rotor blade production grew by 14 percent to 1,188 units (Q1 2024: 1,039 units). Of these, 458 blades were produced in-house, while 730 units were sourced externally.
Cerulean Winds completes ecological surveys for 3 GW floating offshore wind project

Cerulean Winds has completed a programme of ecological surveys across its proposed floating offshore wind developments—Aspen, Beech, and Cedar—covering a total area of 2,784 km² in UK waters. The developer, which is leading more than 3 GW of floating offshore wind capacity, commissioned 72 digital aerial surveys (DAS) to collect ecological data to support the projects’ consenting phase.
UK government backs offshore wind supply chain to boost clean energy growth

As part of its Industrial Strategy, the UK government is taking new steps to strengthen the offshore wind supply chain and support clean energy deployment. A new initiative led by Great British Energy (GBE) will focus on scaling up domestic manufacturing for fixed-bottom and floating wind technologies, enhancing the UK’s ability to deliver offshore wind projects at pace and at scale.
Iberdrola and Kansai agree joint investment in 315 MW Windanker offshore wind farm

Iberdrola has finalised a strategic partnership with Kansai Electric Power Company of Japan to co-invest in the 315 MW Windanker offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. Following regulatory approvals, Iberdrola will hold a 51% majority stake in the project.
