Eolos deploys floating LiDAR buoy at AGEC offshore wind site in Caspian Sea

Eolos has commissioned its FLS200 integrated floating LiDAR buoy at the offshore wind development site of Azerbaijan Green Energy Company (AGEC) in the Caspian Sea. AGEC, working under an agreement with the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan to carry out early-stage studies and preparatory work in the region, awarded the contract to Eolos in January 2026.

Siemens Energy raised its full-year outlook for Siemens Gamesa, now expecting comparable revenue growth of 3% to 5% in fiscal year 2026, up from previous guidance of 1% to 3%. The profit margin before special items is still expected to reach break-even for the full year.

Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, through CIP’s Energy Transition Fund, have awarded TKF the cable contract for phase 1 of the offshore wind project Zeevonk Offshore Wind Project. The contract covers the full supply of approximately 162 kilometres of 66 kV inter-array cables.

The Crown Estate’s latest UK Offshore Wind Report highlights the growing role of offshore wind in the country’s energy mix, with the sector supplying nearly one-fifth of UK electricity generation in 2025. Offshore wind remained the UK’s largest source of renewable electricity, generating 52 TWh during 2025, enough to supply around 15.5 million homes.

Five wind turbine manufacturers have now surpassed the 100 GW installed milestone, while global wind turbine original equipment manufacturers installed 28,395 new turbines worldwide in 2025, an increase of 23% compared with the previous year. Vestas retained the top position for cumulative installations and became the first turbine manufacturer to exceed the 200 GW milestone in 2025, reaching more than 201 GW installed capacity.
Cadeler and Ørsted complete first monopile foundation installation at Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm

Cadeler has completed installation of the first fully commissioned monopile foundation at Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom. The installation marks the first of 197 monopile foundations that Cadeler will transport and install as part of the company’s transportation and installation scope for the project.
Iberdrola starts commissioning of 195 MW Tâmega Norte wind farm in Portugal

Iberdrola has started commissioning the 195 MW Tâmega Norte wind farm in Portugal, part of the wider Tâmega Complex combining wind and pumped-storage hydropower. The project is located between Braga and Vila Real in the municipalities of Cabeceiras de Basto and Montalegre. The Tâmega Complex will include two wind farms, Tâmega Norte and Tâmega Sul, connected to a pumped-storage hydroelectric system designed to store and release electricity when required by the grid.
