Foundation works completed for Princess Elisabeth Island

The 23rd and final caisson for the Princess Elisabeth Island has been installed 45 km off the Belgian coast in the North Sea, completing the foundation works for the energy island. The works were carried out by TM Edison, a consortium including Deme and Jan de Nul, on behalf of Elia Transmission Belgium. The 23 foundation elements form the protective outer shell of the future island.
Final Bałtyk 2 and 3 transition pieces leave Vlissingen

The final batch of 100 transition pieces for the Bałtyk 2 and 3 offshore wind farms has left Vlissingen in the Netherlands for its final destination. The transition pieces were built at Smulders' Hoboken yard and transported to the Vlissingen yard for temporary storage and final sail-away.
Sonfor seeks new partner for Lillebælt Syd offshore wind farm

Sonfor has taken a majority stake in the company behind the Lillebælt Syd wind farm in Denmark and is assessing options for continuing the project with a new operating partner. The move follows TotalEnergies’ decision earlier this summer to withdraw from two wind projects, including Lillebælt Syd, to focus on other activities. European Energy will remain a minority partner in the project.
