MacGregor's Horizon gangway has received DNV certification for floating-to-floating (F2F) personnel transfers between two independently moving vessels. The certification, under DNV-ST-0358 and following a sea acceptance test, extends the Horizon gangway's use beyond fixed landing points.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta and the California Energy Commission (CEC) have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration and Golden State Wind over the cancellation of an offshore wind lease off California's Central Coast. The lawsuit seeks to have the agreement overturned and prevent the administration from implementing it.
Fugro nominates Emiel Jongerius as CFO

The Supervisory Board of Fugro has nominated Emiel Jongerius as a member of the Board of Management and Chief Financial Officer, effective 16 November 2026. Jongerius, 50, has held senior finance and leadership positions at several international companies. From 2001 to 2018, he worked at Royal Philips and Signify, including as CFO and Head of Strategy for Signify’s Lamps business.
Victoria opens tender for first 2 GW of offshore wind

Victoria has opened the Request for Proposal process for its first 2 GW of offshore wind. The projects will provide enough electricity to power around 1.5 million homes each year. Bids will be assessed on value for money, deliverability and benefits for local workers, businesses and communities.

CIP acquires Australian wind and battery project

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), on behalf of its Copenhagen Infrastructure V fund, has acquired Gawara Baya, a hybrid onshore wind farm and grid-forming battery energy storage system (BESS) project in North Queensland, Australia. Located on Gugu Badhun Country, south-west of Ingham, the project will combine a 408 MW onshore wind farm with 104 MW of BESS. It will comprise 68 wind turbines.
Forsinain Forest Wind Farm planning application submitted

Low Carbon has submitted a Section 36 planning application to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit for the Forsinain Forest Wind Farm. Located in the Scottish Highlands, 3 km north of Forsinard and 16 km south of Melvich, the proposed site is predominantly within non-native commercial forestry and lies entirely outside the Flow Country UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Amazon invests in four new wind energy projects in Sweden

Amazon has signed agreements covering four wind energy projects in Sweden, bringing its investments in large-scale wind projects in the country to nine, with an estimated combined capacity of almost 1 GW (985 MW). The projects are being developed by Scandinavian renewable energy companies OX2 and Eolus and are located across central and southern Sweden.
Trianel Windpark Borkum I enters balancing energy market

Trianel Windpark Borkum I has prequalified to participate in the balancing energy market with around 70 MW of capacity and has been supplying negative secondary balancing power since July 2026. Marketing started successfully on 22 July 2026. The offshore wind farm in the North Sea can therefore contribute to grid stability in addition to generating electricity. Balancing energy helps maintain the balance between electricity generation and consumption and keeps the grid frequency stable at 50 hertz.
NextOcean to equip Esvagt Njord with motion prediction technology
