Marco Polo Marine’s offshore wind division, PKR Offshore Co., Ltd. (PKRO), has signed a framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa for the deployment and charter of two commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs). Under the agreement, PKRO will provide two new CSOVs to support Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind projects in Taiwan on a non-exclusive basis.

A coalition of 19 attorneys general has moved to intervene in a lawsuit against the US Department of Defense (DoD) and Secretary Pete Hegseth over the agency's suspension of reviews for land-based wind energy projects. The coalition argues that federal law requires the DoD to review proposed wind projects for potential national security impacts and work with developers to resolve any concerns. However, since August 2025, the DoD has halted routine reviews, effectively preventing the development of onshore wind projects across the USA.
European Commission unveils Electrification Action Plan and ETS revision

Sweden approves two offshore wind farms and rejects 11 projects

The Swedish government has approved permits for two offshore wind farms within the country’s exclusive economic zone, while rejecting applications for 11 other projects due to concerns over impacts on national defence capabilities.
