The renewable energy partnership between Iberdrola and Norges Bank Investment Management has expanded its portfolio to more than 1,800 MW following the addition of the 274 MW Tâmega wind project in northern Portugal. The project is already in commercial operation.
The addition follows the incorporation earlier this year of 646 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity from the Caparacena and Ciudad Rodrigo projects in Spain, which have been operational since the end of 2025.
The alliance plans to continue adding renewable energy capacity, with the aim of reaching 2,300 MW by 2027. The partnership forms part of a long-term agreement between Iberdrola and Norges Bank Investment Management, supported by more than €2 billion in investment.
