L R Leon Hendriksen Sales Business Development Manager at Stema Offshore and Alan MacDonald Head of Sales UK Europe and Africa at SonardyneStema Systems has added Sonardyne’s Mini-Ranger 2 Ultra-Short BaseLine (USBL) tracking system and several Wideband Sub Mini 6+ (WSM 6+) transponders to its rental pool. The Netherlands-based survey equipment specialist plans to grow its fleet of Sonardyne technologies to support offshore projects.

The Mini-Ranger 2 provides survey-grade positioning for remotely operated vehicles and towed system surveys. Stema will deploy the system across its global rental business, with applications in offshore wind and other renewable energy developments, as well as oil and gas. Compact and easy to install, the system can be used from smaller vessels, construction barges, or other available platforms. It supports tracking, telemetry, and control of up to 10 targets simultaneously, with a standard range of 995 m or up to 4,000 m with the extended range version selected by Stema.
