Sirius Design & Integration has signed a contract to design two construction support vessels (CSVs) to be built at Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China. The contract covers two firm vessels, with options for two additional units. The customer has not been disclosed.
The vessels were developed in cooperation with the customer and are based on Sirius' CSV design platform. Sirius will provide the conceptual design and complete basic design package.
Each vessel will be 144.7 metres long with a beam of 27 metres. The vessels will be equipped with two large offshore cranes and two launch and recovery systems (LARS) for remotely operated vehicle operations. They will also be prepared for the installation of a carousel, vertical lay system (VLS) and other mission-specific equipment.
