Neretek, an offshore wind technology company founded by Wood Thilsted and COP Frontier, and Vestas have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the combined deployment of foundation and turbine technologies for deeper-water offshore wind projects.
The collaboration will assess potential applications for Neretek’s BC90 foundation concept, designed for transitional water depths, alongside Vestas’ offshore wind turbines. The aim is to evaluate whether the technologies could be used together in suitable projects.
Under the agreement, the companies will maintain a dialogue and undertake technical collaboration to assess potential applications and project opportunities. No specific projects or deployment plans have been announced.
