NextOcean, a Netherlands-based provider of offshore vessel motion prediction technology, has been awarded a contract to supply its WavePredictor motion radar to Esvagt Njord, a service operations vessel commissioned by Esvagt. The system will be used to support operations and maintenance activities at the Dudgeon wind farm.
WavePredictor provides crews with advance information on vessel motions in real time, which can support decisions on vessel transfers and operations in challenging sea states. The motion radar and accompanying software are scheduled to be installed on the vessel in August.
