Jan De Nul has launched its new cable-laying vessel, Fleeming Jenkin, which will be used to install subsea cables for the transmission of renewable energy. The vessel measures 215 metres in length and has a loading capacity of 28,000 tonnes. Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2026.

FairWind has agreed to acquire Cosmic Group, an Australian provider of wind turbine installation and maintenance services, to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The acquisition will expand FairWind’s operations into New Zealand and Japan.

Natural Power has appointed Gordon Burrows as Head of ControlCentre. He joined the company on 1 October 2025, bringing more than 20 years of experience in power system operations, planning and control. A Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Burrows previously chaired IET Scotland and has held senior operational leadership roles at SP Energy Networks and Northern Powergrid, where he recently led the 24/7 control centre in Yorkshire.
