Port of Rotterdam Authority to develop offshore wind terminal

The Port of Rotterdam Authority (Netherlands) plans to develop a 45-hectare terminal in the north-western corner of the Maasvlakte for offshore wind operations. The site will support storage, transport, pre-assembly and delivery of turbine and foundation components, with direct nautical access to the sea and heavy-duty quays. The terminal is expected to be operational by mid-2029.
Fortum completes acquisition of ABO Energy project portfolio in Finland

The scope covers above-water Balance of Plant inspection, repair and maintenance services and subsea remotely operated vehicle surveys across a combined 303 turbines.
BirdSafe project advances monitoring of bird activity at offshore wind farms

Night-vision cameras and bird radars are now in place and collecting data as part of the BirdSafe project, which aims to balance bird safety, energy security and operational needs at offshore wind farms. The research focuses on gathering detailed information on bird migration, particularly songbirds during autumn, when collision risk is highest.
Damen and Windcat launch new offshore support vessel series

Windcat has ordered a new Multi-Purpose Accommodation Support Vessel (MP-ASV) from Damen Shipyards Group, with options for five additional units. The Innovation Series vessels will provide extended offshore support through a large open deck, subsea crane and expanded accommodation capacity.
