Vestas has agreed to acquire LM Wind Power’s blade manufacturing facility in Goleniów, near Szczecin, Poland, for an undisclosed sum. The site, established in 2009 and expanded in 2017, will be integrated into Vestas’ European production network.

The facility will continue supplying blades for Vestas’ onshore wind turbines, including the V172-7.2 MW model. Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. For LM Wind Power and parent company GE Vernova, the move is part of a strategic effort to streamline operations and reallocate capital to core European Union sites focused on manufacturing wind components for GE Vernova’s customer base in Europe.
