OnPath Energy has reached financial close on the 33.4 MW Mill Rig onshore wind farm in South Lanarkshire. The project has a long-term, subsidy-free power purchase agreement with a US technology company.
The six-turbine site is located between Strathaven and Darvel. NatWest is providing project financing through a term loan and ancillary facilities to support both construction and operation.
OnPath Energy has funded the project to date. Civil engineering works are well advanced, with essential infrastructure completed and all turbine foundations already in place.
