The work will be carried out by one of Cadeler’s new M-class installation vessels.Cadeler has signed a firm contract with Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) for the transportation and installation of 35 Siemens Gamesa 14MW wind turbines at the Formosa 4 Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan. The work will be carried out by one of Cadeler’s new M-class installation vessels.

Installation is scheduled to begin in March 2028 and is expected to take around 150 days. Formosa 4 will be located 18 to 20 kilometres off Miaoli County, covering 58 square kilometres with turbine foundations in water depths of 57 to 64 metres. Once completed, the project will deliver 495 MW of offshore wind capacity.

This contract represents part of the work foreseen in the reservation agreement Cadeler announced in September 2024, which covered two offshore wind projects in the region. Negotiations continue regarding the second project.
