Natural Power has carried out technical due diligence for TagEnergy Development UK as the company makes its first wind investment in the UK, acquiring four mid-stage projects in Scotland with a combined capacity of almost 300 MW.
TagEnergy has taken full ownership of the Cairnmore Hill project in Caithness, Glenburnie in the Scottish Borders, Sclenteuch in East Ayrshire and Torfichen in Midlothian. All four sites were purchased from RES. TagEnergy is an independent power producer in the UK with 320 MW of operating battery energy storage across six grid-connected locations. The acquisition increases its multi-technology pipeline to more than 1.5 GW.
