Suzlon has outlined a new organisational structure under its Suzlon 2.0 vision, setting out plans to broaden its activities across wind, solar, battery energy storage systems and other emerging technologies, alongside diversified business models to provide integrated energy solutions.
As part of this restructuring, the company has established a Group Executive Council to guide its medium- and long-term growth strategy. An Executive Management Council, led by the group chief executive officer, has also been formed to oversee operational performance, transformation and business growth. The changes are presented as part of a structured succession plan aimed at supporting continuity and long-term development.
Under the new structure, J P Chalasani will be a member of the Group Executive Council and will work with the chairman and managing director and the executive vice chairman on strategic initiatives across the group. He will continue to support senior leadership, maintain strategic partnerships and contribute to the development of new business areas. He remains designated as key managerial personnel and will report to the chairman and managing director.
Ajay Kapur has been appointed group chief executive officer. With more than 36 years of experience, he has held chief executive roles at listed companies across infrastructure, construction, power and heavy metals. He previously served as managing director of Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group. At Suzlon, he will report to chairman and managing director Vinod Tanti.
