CLS Group has entered into exclusive negotiations with Valemo and Geps Innov to acquire Akrocean, a company specialising in turnkey ocean measurement services. CLS provides Earth and ocean observation and monitoring services, supporting offshore activities through metocean measurements, floating LiDAR systems and underwater acoustics.
These services are used to support offshore operations, optimise energy projects and monitor environmental performance. Founded in 2017, Akrocean delivers offshore measurement services based on certified instrumented buoys. Its systems are widely used in offshore wind projects to assess wind resources, characterise metocean conditions, establish site baselines and carry out environmental monitoring.
CLS Group is a subsidiary of CNES and CNP and employs more than 1,200 people across 41 locations worldwide.
