Global energy firms partner on wind turbine blade initiative

Duke Energy Renewables, EDF Energy (project lead), ENGIE, E.ON, innogy and Kruger Energy have signed a partnership agreement that will see them share data from leading edge protection system trials on wind farms around the world to assess how they operate in different conditions and geographies. The data will be fed into a central database controlled by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult.

Construction started of SeaMade offshore wind project in Belgian North Sea

Innovation SeaMadeSeaMade and DEME have announced that the DP2 offshore installation vessel “Innovation” started with the first load out of the first 3 of the 58 wind turbine foundations and transition pieces for offshore installation, as support structure of the 8.4MW turbines.

Deutsche Windtechnik expands its UK portfolio by providing O&M for five wind farms operated by innogy Renewables UK

The new maintenance contracts in the UK cover a total of 40 Senvion turbines – for MM70, MM82 and MM92 – and run for three years each. The first wind farm taken over is Bradwell, located in Essex, and the work already started in August with the remaining four wind farms following in November.
