PNE has secured contracts for two onshore wind projects with a combined capacity of 108 MW in the German Federal Network Agency's tender round held on 1 May 2026. The projects are the 100.8 MW Beerfelde wind farm in Brandenburg and the 7.2 MW Hassendorf repowering project in Lower Saxony.
The Beerfelde project will comprise new onshore wind capacity. Alongside construction preparations, PNE is assessing the integration of a battery energy storage system to support the electricity grid as part of the project. Planning for the storage system is already at an advanced stage, with the aim of developing a hybrid wind and storage installation.
The Hassendorf repowering project involves the third wind turbine at the site. The first two turbines secured contracts in the August 2025 tender round.
