Qualitas Energy has secured contracts for three onshore wind projects with a combined capacity of 113.2 MW in Germany's May renewable energy auction. The projects, located in Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony, comprise 16 wind turbines. Once operational, they are expected to generate enough renewable electricity to supply around 75,000 households.

The auction was highly competitive, with 628 bids submitted for a combined 6,409 MW against a tender volume of 2,495 MW. Germany's Federal Network Agency awarded contracts to 270 projects totalling 2,499 MW. Successful bid prices ranged from €0.0444/kWh to €0.0519/kWh, with a volume-weighted average award price of €0.0506/kWh.
