Blue Elephant Energy has agreed to acquire a 381 MW onshore wind portfolio in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, from WIND-projekt. The portfolio comprises 37 operational wind farms with a combined capacity of 260 MW.
A further four wind farms totalling 46 MW are under construction and are scheduled for commissioning in 2026. In addition, three wind farms with a combined capacity of 75 MW will be transferred to Blue Elephant Energy at the start of construction, with commissioning planned for 2027.
Following completion of the transaction, Blue Elephant Energy’s German wind portfolio will increase to 533 MW. The company’s total portfolio will reach 2.1 GW, with wind accounting for around 25%.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Bundeskartellamt.
