Indeximate has launched Scattersphere, a platform for continuous monitoring and risk assessment of offshore wind power cables. The system provides ongoing insight into cable health, helping operators identify potential issues before they affect operations.
The cloud-based platform processes large amounts of data to generate risk profiles and support maintenance planning. Scattersphere captures a continuous stream of fibre-optic data along each cable. It uses distributed acoustic sensing to detect changes in vibration or strain that may indicate fatigue, abrasion or movement. Combined with information on vessel movements, weather, ocean conditions, and power production, the platform gives a clearer picture of cable performance over time. The platform is now available for early adopters and project partners.
