All five projects awarded capacity in Taiwan’s Round 3.2 offshore wind tender have submitted contracts to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOE) to initiate the signing process.
According to the Energy Department under the MOE, any developer that fails to meet the requirements or complete the signing will forfeit its project qualification and allocated capacity. The site area and capacity would then be reassigned in a future tender. Grid connections for the Round 3.2 projects are planned between 2028 and 2030. The five selected projects have a combined capacity of 2.7 GW:
- Youde (Shinfox), 700 MW
- Formosa 6 (Synera Renewable Energy), 800 MW
- Fengmiao 2 (Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners), 600 MW
- Formosa 3 / Haiding 1 (Corio Generation and TotalEnergies), 360 MW
- Deshuai (Enervest), 240 MW
