Northern Europe Energy Group, SEFE and the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector consortium have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the development of an integrated hydrogen value chain linking the Nordic Baltic region with Germany. The agreement was signed at WindWorks 2026 in Riga.
The Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector is a cross border project aimed at securing the supply of green hydrogen across the Nordic region and Central Europe. The consortium includes Gasgrid Finland, GASCADE Gastransport and Copenhagen EnergyIslands, part of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
The cooperation brings together supply, infrastructure and demand, considered key elements for scaling hydrogen projects. Northern Europe Energy Group will contribute on the supply side through its production ambitions in Latvia and the wider Baltic Sea region.
The Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector will provide the planned offshore transport corridor, while SEFE will support demand by enabling long term offtake and transport requirements.
