The Global Renewables Alliance (GRA) has launched a Global Coalition and a Brazilian Renewable Energy Mobilisation Committee to support the COP30 Presidency. The initiative aims to strengthen the role of the private sector in international climate negotiations through strategic, technical and policy input.
The Brazilian Renewable Energy Mobilisation Committee will be chaired by Elbia Gannoum, Special Envoy for Energy to COP30 and President of the Brazilian Wind Energy Association (ABEEólica). The committee brings together chief executives and senior representatives from companies and industry associations operating in Brazil, including ABEEólica, Absolar, ABIHV, ABSAE, Abrage, Aeris, Atlas Agro, Auren, Cemig, Clean Energy Latin America, CPFL, Eletrobras, Engie, EDF, Fortescue, Norte Energia, Goldwind Brasil, Instituto E+, MingYang, Neoenergia, Norsk Hydro, Orsted, Ocean Winds and Renova Energia.
The broader COP30 Global Coalition represents a cross-section of the renewable energy value chain, including manufacturers, energy buyers, developers, utilities and investors. Members include Google, Fortescue, Adani Green Energy, EDP, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Iberdrola, Ørsted, SSE Renewables, Vestas, Topsoe, Arup, Octopus Energy Generation and Sunotec.
